What You Need for a Jello Parfait

You’ll only need four ingredients for this particular recipe, but feel free to get creative with different flavors of jello and fruit!

Gather your Strawberry Jello, fresh strawberries, Cool Whip whipped topping, and red sprinkles.

Making Your Own Whipped Cream

You could totally make your own whipped topping for this Jello with whipped cream by simply using heavy cream. I’m taking the easy way with this one, but you do you!

Parfait Glasses

Of course, pretty parfait glasses or dessert dishes would help make this great dessert even more festive. Champagne glasses or wine glasses would work nicely, too.

What you don’t want is something huge that will end only being half full. These wine glasses are just 8 ounces.

Jello Parfait INGREDIENTS 1 package (3oz) Strawberry Jello-o 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries (optional) 1 cup thawed Cool Whip whipped topping

How to Make a Jello Parfait

Prepare Jell-0 according to package directions. This is usually just stirring the jello into boiling water and then adding cold water, but take a look at the box for measurements.

Set aside 1/3 cup Jell-O in a medium bowl.

Chop strawberries into small pieces and set aside.

Add strawberries to remaining Jello.

Spoon Jello mixture into 5 dessert or wine glasses.

Cover with plastic wrap and chill glasses at an angle until jello is set (overnight is best.)

Fold whipped topping into remaining (1/3 cup) Jello. This will give the whipped topping a pretty light pink color.

Refrigerate until ready to use.

Spoon topping mixture into glasses of set jello.

Garnish with sprinkles.

What a festive dessert – and something that even older children and teens could make for a party. One tip regarding the pineapple, make sure to use canned pineapple. The enzymes in uncooked pineapple will keep it from setting. (That is an experiment we did, which is pretty cool.)

Thank you so much for sharing this delightful, and easy recipe.
