Quench your thirst with these 10 Fruit Infused Water Recipes. They're cool, and refreshing and are a fun and delicious way of staying hydrated.

Hydration is super important, but if you struggle to drink enough water, you're not alone.

While a clean and crisp glass of plain ole H2O is great, let's face it, it can be boring, especially when you're craving something with a little flavor, like this Berry Lemonade, Lavender Lemonade, or Strawberry Lemonade.

In fact, smoothies are also really hydrating as they are full of water-packed fruits and veggies. Try one of these smoothie recipes made without yogurt to see for yourself!

The good news is that you don't have to reach for sugary soft drinks and fruit juices to satisfy those cravings. With these fruit-infused water recipes, you get the best of both worlds; flavor and hydration!

Each of these recipes includes nutritious and fresh, colorful fruit that not only makes your water taste amazing but also makes a pretty presentation for serving at parties, holiday dinners, bridal, and baby showers, or just a backyard BBQ on a hot summer day.

    ❤️Why We Love These Recipes

Water infused with subtle flavors of fruit and or fresh herbs makes staying hydrated so much tastier. Good hydration has many health benefits too.

Drinking enough water boosts energy, helps you to sleep better, it can improve digestion, have healthier skin, and aids in jet lag recovery and muscle recovery after a workout.

Most fruits contain a decent amount of vitamin C, which helps boost your immune system during cold and flu season. To read more about these great benefits, check out this article on Heathline.

Another one of the things we love about serving these tasty, fruit flavored water recipes is that when buying seasonal fresh fruit, flavored water can be a lot more budget friendly when serving a crowd instead of providing soft drinks or even regular bottled water.

    FAQs

How long is fruit infused water good for?

Once the fruit has been added to plain water, it will stay fresh for about a day or two in the fridge. After that, the fruit will begin to break down and will become mushy. Sliced fruit can also begin to run the risk of bacterial growth after a few days.

If you want to keep the water longer, remove the fresh produce after a few hours. The water will still taste fruity but won’t deteriorate like it does with the fruit left in.

Are there fruits that I should not use in water?

Honestly, you can use just about any fruit you prefer with one exception. Bananas are not a great choice. They turn brown and mushy and are just overall not a good choice. Save your bananas to make this Banana Spinach Smoothie.

How long should I allow for the fruit to infuse?

Make sure you allow enough time for the water to extract the flavors from fruits. In order to get the most out of your fruity flavors, let the ingredients soak for at least 4 hours, up to overnight.

Does a pitcher of infused water have to be kept in the fridge?

While it's perfectly safe to leave it out at room temperature for a couple of hours, it stays fresher longer when you keep it chilled in the fridge.

    Top Tips

    • Wash well-before slicing and adding fruit to your water, make sure to wash them really well, because a lot of people handle fresh produce in the grocery store.
    • Choose organic-if you’re able to buy organic fruit, they're a better choice because they aren’t sprayed with pesticides.
    • Freeze the fruit: If you're making your fruit water several hours in advance, you can freeze your fruit first, so it helps the water to stay nice and cold.
    • Muddle in a rush: If you didn't prep your water in advance, a simple way to take a short cut to extracting a stronger flavor from the fruit quickly is by gently muddling them in the bottom of a large mason jar or glass pitcher of water.
    • Remove the rinds: If you're going to let the citrus fruits soak for a while in the water, you want to peel and remove citrus rinds. Though they add a nice flavor when the water is first made, they begin to take on a bitter flavor the longer they soak.
