A tart is typically referred to as a mini tart when it’s not a full-size large tart. They can be anywhere from bite-sized to about four inches in diameter.
These savory mini tarts will need to be refrigerated in an airtight container or in plastic wrap for up to 3 days. Most can be frozen as well, but check each recipe for details.
Actually, you don’t! You can use phyllo or even biscuit dough in a mini muffin pan, too. I like the fluted edges in a tart pan, but you don’t need to use tart molds. A couple of these tarts are made with dough using a cookie cutter.
Top Tips
Working with Phyllo dough can be frustrating once it gets to room temperature. It’s best to keep it cold, taking pieces out as you’re making each group of tarts.

The tomato tarts are paired with fresh parsley, dill is paired with the fish tarts, and watercress would be a wonderful addition to any of these mini tart recipes.
I got an Aerogarden for my birthday so I always have fresh herbs and peppers. Even someone with no green thumb like me can grow their own herbs easily!
