Things to do in Turks and Caicos

With endless things to do in Turks & Caicos, I wanted to share the experiences you donโ€™t want to miss. From sailing over crystal-clear waters to sushi nights, wine tastings, and lively island festivals, itโ€™s the kind of trip that makes you wish the days would never end.

Where is Turks and Caicos

Turks & Caicos is a small chain of Caribbean islands known as the Caicos archipelago, located just a 90-minute flight from the United States. Many visitors stay on the island of Providenciales, or Provo, the most populated island in the group.

This is where youโ€™ll find the world-famous Grace Bay Beach, which is ranked among the best beaches in the world and a main attraction of the islands. Waking up to that view is pretty incredible.

Why We Love Turks and Caicos

From the moment your plane touches down, this part of the Caribbean makes it easy to slip right into relaxation mode. Grace Bay, where we stayed, is calm, with crystal-clear waters, and the sand feels like powdered sugar between your toes. Staying at one of the luxury inclusive resorts here, you can do as much or as little as you want without ever feeling rushed.

We loved that our trip included everything from beach walks at sunrise to evenings filled with dinners at local restaurants, a little live music, and even a champagne vending machine (yes, vending machine!)

The island is full of cultural experiences and friendly spots to explore. Read on for my favorite things to do in Turks and Caicos. Don’t forget your free printable packing list once you’ve booked your vacation!

Where to Stay

This was my second visit to Turks and Caicos, and though I did enjoy my first visit, there was really no comparison as far as lodging goes. This time, I stayed at Seven Stars Resort and Spa, and it was truly incredible. If you’re looking for a luxurious place to stay, this is it.

This stunning resort is right on Grace Bay, with spectacular views. The restaurants serve mouthwatering food, and the hotel has a truly fantastic staff. I don’t know what more you could ask for when looking for a beach vacation.

Many of the things to do on this list are activities right around the resort, and if you want to explore more of the surrounding area, the concierge is happy to help.

Read the Day Away on Grace Bay

Thereโ€™s nothing quite like stretching out on a lounger with a good book while attendants keep drinks and cold towels coming. The private cabanas near the pool provide extra shade and privacy, making it easy to relax for hours.

Snorkel in Crystal-Clear Waters

Above anything else, Turks & Caicos is famous for its colorful reef fish and calm waters. This makes snorkeling easy and exciting even for beginners. You can slip on a mask and fins and snorkel right from the beach.

Sail on a Catamaran

For scuba diving, full-day boat trips and guided tours can take you farther out to the barrier reef and open ocean for even more marine life, like sea turtles, coral reefs, and schools of fish drifting around the Bight Reef.

Take a look at Big Blue Collective to book an excursion while you’re in Turks & Caicos. Our group spent a half-day on the luxury MV Rising Star, a 46-foot Catamaran. We cruised across calm, clear water, stopped to snorkel near coral gardens, and relaxed on deck between stops. They even brought paddleboards and seabobs!

We didn’t even have to bring food and drinks as they provided everything. They really do an amazing job.

Boat trips like this are a great way to see more of the Caicos Islands, and if you have the time, full-day boat tours to West Caicos or Fort George Cay let you explore even more.

Eat Sushi at Seven

Fresh sushi is always a favorite in Turks & Caicos, and staying at Seven Stars Resort meant I didnโ€™t have to go far to enjoy it. One evening, I tried the sushi at Seven and loved how fresh and well-prepared it was.

I love a meal of appetizers and, as you can see, the menu had a lot of choices. This was the perfect meal to end a beach day and one Iโ€™d happily order again.

You can also book a private dinner in The Tasting Room, the resortโ€™s wine cellar, which makes for a completely different experience. This private wine cellar is stocked with more than 2,500 bottles and offers curated food and wine pairings. A sommelier will guide you through rare selections from around the world, including some wines exclusive to the resort.

Experience a Wine Flight Club at The Tasting Room at Seven

The Tasting Room at Seven Stars Resort also offers Wine Flight Club evenings where you can taste some of those carefully chosen pours alongside small plates.

Get a Massage at Seven Stars Spa

After a few days in the sun, I booked a massage, and it was exactly what I needed. I walked out feeling more relaxed than I had in weeks. The best part is that resorts like this one make it easy to treat yourself without ever having to leave the property.

And speaking of relaxing, how often in your life can you take a bath in your room with a view like this?

Watch a Sunrise or Sunset

Grace Bay is worth seeing at both ends of the day. I caught quiet sunrises with hardly anyone else around, and in the evenings, weโ€™d watch the sky turn every shade of orange and pink.

Head to the Weekly Fish Fry and Celebration

The weekly Fish Fry in The Bight, a lively neighborhood on Providenciales, is a celebration all on its own. Food stalls, live bands, and cultural performances bring locals and visitors together every Thursday night. Between fresh conch fritters and other seafood dishes, dancing, and the festive energy, itโ€™s no wonder the Fish Fry is considered one of the must-do events in Turks & Caicos.

Pop Champagne from a Vending Machine

As I mentioned before, yes, thereโ€™s a Moรซt & Chandon vending machine, and I just had to give it a try. With a simple drop of a coin, you can grab a chilled split of champagne, ready to pop on the spot.

Itโ€™s a fun way to treat yourself in the middle of a beach day or as a toast to the evening ahead. Of course, you can also simply order a glass from the bar.

Have Dinner at The Farm

The Farm is Seven Stars Resortโ€™s farm-to-table restaurant, built around seasonal menus and ingredients sourced from local farmers, fishermen, and even the resortโ€™s own garden. Time Magazine included The Farm at Seven Stars Resort & Spa on its list of World’s Greatest Places, so be sure to reserve ahead of time.

One dish that stood out for me at The Farm was the Burrata and Beet Salad, made with creamy burrata cheese, fresh beets, and crisp, fresh greens that tasted so good I ordered it more than once.

You can expect Mediterranean-inspired dishes prepared with simple, high-quality ingredients, and the Burrata and Beet Salad is the perfect example of how something fresh and uncomplicated can turn into a favorite.

Turks & Caicos has plenty of local restaurants, from upscale dining to casual spots like Da Conch Shack, to explore, but sometimes itโ€™s the meals right at your resort that surprise you the most.

Turks & Caicos offers so many ways to fill your days, from sailing and snorkeling to farm-to-table dining and sunset walks on incredible beaches. We did all of this while staying at Seven Stars Resort & Spa, which made it easy to mix adventure with plenty of relaxation.

Turks & Caicos was also ranked #9 out of the top 25 Caribbean islands in Travel & Leisureโ€™s 2025 Worldโ€™s Best Awards, and after this trip, I can see why. Now that you know about Seven Stars Resort & Spa, you also know where to stay when you visit this beautiful island.
