Tips for Making Cocktails with Crown Royal

The most important part of a cocktail is the liquor. We use Crown Royal because it tastes perfect in a cocktail. If you choose to use a different whiskey, try to find a premium one.

Use small glasses and put them in the fridge to chill before making your cocktails. There is nothing worse than a warm cocktail on a hot day. Using small glasses will allow your guests to finish their drink before it gets too warm. Also, use lots of ice in your shaker.

Measure your ingredients accurately by using a bar tool like a jigger. This will ensure that you have the proper balance between mixer and alcohol.

It would be beneficial to invest in other bar tools like a cocktail glass, old-fashioned glass, and cocktail shaker. Having the proper tools can make your cocktails taste even better.

If you love your cocktails a little sweeter, make a homemade simple syrup by combining equal parts water and sugar.

The best cocktails use fresh ingredients. If the recipe calls for lime juice, squeeze a fresh lime instead of grabbing a bottle of lime juice. Using fresh herbs and fruit will take your cocktail to the next level.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to drink Crown Royal?

Many prefer to drink Crown Royal “neat,” which is 2 ounces of Crown Royal poured into a glass without ice cubes. However, Crown Royal is a sweeter whiskey, which makes it perfect for mixing. The warm notes of brown sugar and vanilla pair well with many ingredients.

What is the best mixer for Crown Royal?

This is up for debate. Crown Royal mixes well with many ingredients like cranberry juice, pineapple juice, peach schnapps, ginger ale, and lemon-lime soda. My favorite is to mix Crown Royal with ginger ale and a fresh squeeze of lime juice. You can also use sour mix, like orange juice and lemon juice, and make a homemade whiskey sour. So refreshing! We've given you a lot of choices!

Should I keep Crown Royal in the freezer?

No. Freezing premium whisky can dull the flavors over time. Crown Royal is best stored at room temperature. Use plenty of fresh ice in chilled glasses if you prefer your whisky cold.
