Gather your ingredients. Wash and dry 10 raspberries (about 1/3 cup) plus a couple of extras set aside for garnish.
Muddle the raspberries with 2 tablespoons of candied ginger and 4 leaves of mint in a shaker glass.
Releasing the flavors of the candied ginger takes a little time, so muddle well.
Add a 1/8 tsp ground ginger and the juice of 1/8 lime wedge. Stir.
Add simple syrup to taste. We added 1 tablespoon. Stir.
Add 1 shot of Wheatley Vodka. Add ice cubes. Stir gently.
Using a cocktail strainer, pour the cocktail over ice cubes in a mule mug.
Garnish with a couple of raspberries, a lime wedge, and a sprig of mint. Enjoy.
