Ingredients

  • 4 ounces apple cider
  • 2 ounces prosecco or champagne
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar for the rim
  • 1 teaspoon corn syrup for the rim

Instructions

  • To rim the champagne flute, add the brown sugar and corn syrup to two separate saucers.
  • First, lightly dip the rim of the flute in the corn syrup, making sure the entire rim is covered. Next, dip the rim into the brown sugar. Set aside.
  • Add the apple cider to the champagne flute and top with prosecco, filling just below the sugared rim.
  • Serve immediately. Garnish with a slice of fresh apple if desired.
  • Fresh apple slices for garnish. Optional.

Notes

Add the sugar on a small plate; that way, you can easily roll the rim of your flute in it to coat it.
Starting with chilled ingredients will offer the perfect cocktail. The chilled flavor helps to enhance the flavors.
It is essential to serve this drink right after you mix it, or the bubbly effect will go flat as it sits.
