Raspberry Moscow Mule

Ingredients

To Make Candied Ginger

  • ginger
  • sugar
  • water

To Make Raspberry Moscow Mule Cocktail

  • 1/3 C raspberries plus a couple of extras set aside for garnish.
  • 2 T candied ginger
  • 4 mint leaves plus a sprig for garnish
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • 3/4 cup soda water
  • 1/4 lime divided into 2 pieces
  • 1 T simple syrup or to taste
  • 1 shot Wheatley Vodka

Instructions

  • Gather your ingredients. Wash and dry 10 raspberries (about 1/3 cup) plus a couple of extras set aside for garnish.
  • Muddle the raspberries with 2 tablespoons of candied ginger and 4 leaves of mint in a shaker glass.
  • Releasing the flavors of the candied ginger takes a little time, so muddle well.
  • Add a 1/8 tsp ground ginger and the juice of 1/8 lime wedge. Stir.
  • Add simple syrup to taste. We added 1 tablespoon. Stir.
  • Add 1 shot of Wheatley Vodka. Add ice cubes. Stir gently.
  • Using a cocktail strainer, pour the cocktail over ice cubes in a mule mug.
  • Garnish with a couple of raspberries, a lime wedge, and a sprig of mint. Enjoy.
