Equipment

  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 18 pretzel rods
  • 10 oz chocolate melting wafers
  • 10 oz white chocolate melting wafers
  • Assorted Christmas sprinkles of your choice
  • 6 Peppermint candies finely chopped
  • 8 Andes Mint Chocolates finely chopped
  • Assorted cookie icing in the tube

Instructions

  • Melt the wafers according to package directions in a microwave safe bowl. It's very easy to overheat the candy, so it's best to do it in short increments.
  • Using a tall glass, pour the melted chocolate into it for dipping the pretzels to cover in chocolate. Use one glass for regular chocolate and another for white chocolate.
  • You'll want to dip each pretzel rod into the melted chocolate, covering about half of the rod.
  • Over parchment paper or a plate, drop sprinkles and chopped toppings over pretzel rods until covered.
  • Carefully lay pretzel rods on parchment paper to allow time for the chocolate to set. Use this procedure for all pretzel rods.
  • Once the pretzel rods are dry and chocolate has set, use cookie icing to add lines to some or all the rods.
  • If you don't want to add sprinkles, it's best to let the first chocolate layer dry before adding lines.
  • Let your chocolate covered pretzel rods completely dry before wrapping up or serving.

Notes

If your chocolate becomes too thick to dip, add a little coconut oil or vegetable oil and stir just enough to thin it out.
Though it may seem like a good idea to roll the pretzel rods in the sprinkles, it ends up being a mess. It's really better to sprinkle from above as we've done.
