Mummy Baked Brie

Who else is excited about the spookiest day of the year? We made this Mummy Baked Brie and it was fun and delicious!

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Non stick spray

Ingredients

  • 8.5 ounces Brie Cheese
  • 2 ounces Ready to bake pie crust 1/4 of one crust
  • 1 black olive sliced
  • 1 piece yellow pepper or other vegetable like red pepper, pimento

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450º
  • Prepare baking sheet.
  • Place Brie on baking sheet.
  • Cut 8 strips of dough, about 1/2 inch each.
  • Wrap the strips around the Brie, leaving a space where the eyes will go.
  • Poke small holes in the Brie for the eyes. Lightly push the black olives into the holes. Leave the "pupil" vegetable for after baking.
  • Bake the Brie for about 12 minutes. Check at 10 minutes as oven times vary.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes. Add yellow pepper for eye pupil.
  • Serve with crackers or toasted baguette.
