Ingredients

  • 1 packet of green apple flavor jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup caramel vodka
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 16 caramel candies
  • 16 plastic jello shot cups 2 oz.

Instructions

  • Prep the plastic shot cups by placing them on a cookie sheet or baking pan.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the boiling water and the jello mix until dissolved.
  • Stir in cold water and then add caramel vodka.
  • Pour jello mixture into the plastic cups, leaving space for the caramel sauce.
  • Place jello cups into the refrigerator and chill for a minimum of 4 hours.
  • When it is time to serve, top each jello shot with 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce and garnish with a caramel candy.

Notes

Buy unwrapped caramel bits. Although you can purchase wrapped caramels, it is so much easier to buy the unwrapped caramel baking bits.
Use a muffin tin for easy moving to the fridge. Concerned about spilling the jello shots? Instead of using a cookie sheet, use a muffin tin. Each of the cups of a muffin pan will hold one jello shot cup.
Buy the plastic cups with lids for easy transport. If you’re planning to take these treats on the road, make sure to get the plastic jello shot cups with lids.
