- 2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce Triple Sec (Cointreau or Grand Marnier work well, too.)
- ½ ounce lemon juice fresh
- ½ ounce lime juice fresh
- ¾ ounce agave Or to taste. If you like more tart, use less.
- coarse salt for rim
- lime garnish for rim
Rub lime around rim of glass. Dip glass in salt until covered. Set aside.
Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
Add vodka.
Add Triple Sec.
Add juices.
Add agave.
Shake well.
Strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with lime wedge or wheel.
To make this spicy, use a Pepper vodka or add a couple of dashes of black pepper.
Try adding an ounce of sparkling water after you pour it into the cocktail glass to give it a hint of effervescence.
If you’re looking for a drink that is a little lighter on the alcohol, replace the Triple Sec with fresh orange juice.
To make this frozen, simply add ingredients to a blender with a little extra ice and blend until slushy!
Use a coarse salt for the rim.
