Sea World salutes the military again this year with Waves of Honor, providing one complimentary admission per year for military members and up to three of their direct dependents to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens Parks, and Sesame Place, through 2013. As if you needed another reason to love SeaWorld, right?
Our family bought an annual pass to Sea World right after moving to Florida. We are huge animal lovers, and not only enjoy seeing all the animals and great shows, but we love that SeaWorld is about conservation.
Now, many of our military families will be able to experience the wonder of Sea World, too. From Sea World Parks & Entertainment President and CEO, “It has always been our honor to host members of the military and their families at our parks each year,” said Jim Atchison. “Waves of Honor is our way to say ‘thank you’ to these dedicated service men and women who sacrifice so much to preserve the freedom we share in this country.”
Any active duty military, including activated or drilling reservists, or National Guardsman, representing any of the five branches of the service, are entitled to a free admission, along with three of their direct dependents, through this program. All they have to do is register online or at the entrance plaza of a participating park, and show their military I.D.
Inactive, standby and retired reserve members, as well as military retirees, U.S. Merchant Marines, and civilian Department of Defense workers are not eligible for this program. The program does not include Discovery Cove or Aquatica in Orlando. More information can be found on Sea World’s website, and rules are subject to change.
If you have not visited Sea World, it is a must! Now we have one more reason to love them!
I was not compensated in any way for this post, but just love that Sea World Salutes the Military with this amazing program. As always, all opinions are strictly my own.
