Easter dinner is one holiday meal I don’t have to think much about. We will have ham, and it will be HoneyBaked Ham. My mother would not think of serving anything but HoneyBaked Ham, and there’s a reason for that. First of all, it’s easy. She always knows when she picks up her HoneyBaked Ham it will be fully cooked and ready to serve. She has a tendency to go overboard when it comes to holiday meals, and serving a HoneyBaked Ham allows her to spend a little less time in the kitchen, and more time enjoying family. Isn’t that what holidays are about? In fact, HoneyBaked Ham’s mission is “Celebrating life, one meal at a time.”
Now that I have my own family, I want our holiday meals to be special, too, but I also want to enjoy our time together. That’s why I’ll be serving HoneyBaked Ham this year, too. I love the taste of the glaze and how it gets a little crunchy on the outside, and how it’s already spiral sliced so it looks beautiful on the table. I like easy! I can also pick up a side and a dessert or two while I’m picking up the ham. That only leaves a couple of sides for me to prepare and I’m out of the kitchen! If only HoneyBaked Ham cleaned houses, too…
We will probably have a couple of guests around our table this year. It doesn’t surprise me that the majority of families spend Easter together, but did you know that two out of five Americans also spend Easter with friends? If you know someone who doesn’t have family in the area, why not invite them? It always makes the holiday more special to have extra friends around the table. Don’t forget to send everyone home with leftovers! I always make more than we need so everyone can have a little bit of Easter dinner the next day, too.
I was excited to hear that HoneyBaked Ham is partnering with Feeding America, the nation’s leading hunger-relief organization. It’s hard to believe that 49 million Americans are living in homes where there is not enough to eat. Feeding America is a network of over 200 food banks that leads the fight against hunger in the United States.
HoneyBaked Ham’s goal is to help them provide two million meals this year. I don’t know about you, but that is the kind of company I want to give my business to.
