New Jersey Offers Excitement Aplenty to Tourists and Locals Alike
For a great many revellers, New Jersey is home to the iconic Boardwalk in Atlantic City. Peppered with a selection of the finest casinos in the world, Atlantic City is the known as the East Coast jewel of casino gaming and star-studded entertainment.
Tourists to Atlantic City have a wealth of fun-filled activities to engage in, including frequenting the Borgata Casino, Theater and Performances, the Boardwalk Hall, Absecon Lighthouse, Tanger Outlets, Movie Theaters, Gift Shops, Harrah’s AC Casino, Caesars AC Casino, Boogie Nights and Boat Tours to name but a few. These are but a handful of the many exciting pastimes that folks get to enjoy on a sojourn to Atlantic City.
In and among the mix of things to do are the casino games – plenty of them. Players can immerse themselves in games of blackjack, roulette, craps and slots galore. Recent legislation in New Jersey also allows for fully regulated online gaming too. Now, all legal-age players in the state can enjoy online casino games to their hearts content. New Jersey is seeking to reclaim its mantle as the undisputed king of casino and family entertainment on the East Coast. The shuttering of several casinos in 2014 and 2015 has made it all the more important for online gaming to recapture the casino shine that is so much a part of New Jersey’s enduring legacy.
New Jersey Readies for Yoda and Darth Vader
Readington New Jersey will soon be hosting an event of another kind in July. The annual ballooning festival will feature two familiar faces in Yoda and the iconic Darth Vader. In fact, this year will mark the fourth time that Darth Vader makes his return to New Jersey at the Festival of Ballooning. The hot air balloons will take to the skies in July to commemorate Star Wars Day. The catchphrase slogan for the day is ‘May the Fourth be with You’.
The New Jersey Festival of Ballooning has received a stamp of approval from Lucasfilm to showcase the iconic characters in the show. Both Yoda and Darth Vader were created by Belgian balloon designers Michel Lambert and Benoit Lambert. Fans of the Dark Side will be chuffed to know that Vader outmuscles Yoda by 86 feet to 62 feet. This is also the first time that the Jedi master Yoda will be taking off in New Jersey skies.
Thrill-seekers in and around the tristate area will be able to descend upon Readington’s Solberg Airport for the July festival from the 24 to the 26. It won’t only be Yoda and Darth Vader drifting off into the sunset; it will be over 100 other air balloons. New Jerseyans will be able to catch glimpses of the world’s biggest U.S. flag (5 stories tall) and the sponsor of the event – QuickCheck will also launch its very own balloon.
