You may remember when I was invited to visit the Carnival Legend last year to celebrate their partnership with Cigar City Brewing. It was the first time I had ever been on Carnival ship, though I had seen them from the outside. It was a treat to be able to see and take a tour of the inside of the Legend.
In 2016, Carnival will be introducing the largest ship in the fleet. Carnival Vista will measure 133,500 tons, 1,055 feet long and have a guest capacity of 3,936 (based on two per cabin). The gorgeous new vessel will debut May 1, 2016, with a 13-day cruise departing from Trieste, Italy. This will be the first European voyage for Carnival in three years. Pretty exciting, right?
Can you imagine how amazing it would be to cruise the Mediterranean? I’ve only been to Italy once, but I am dying to go back. Carnival will be offering port calls throughout Italy, France, Spain, Croatia, Turkey, as well as Crete (Heraklion), and Corfu, Greece; Valletta, Malta; Palermo, Sicily; Cagliari, Sardinia; and Gibraltar, which are all new destinations for Carnival.
Carnival Vista will embark on a special 13-day transatlantic crossing on October 21, 2016, and arrive in New York on November 3, 2016, operating a series of voyages from the Big Apple. Carnival Vista‘s European cruises are currently available for reservations. Additional information on the New York departures will be available next month.
For now, check out the deck plans for this incredible ship, take a look at the spacious cabins, feast your eyes on the amazing dining options, and start thinking about when you might be able to sail with Carnival!
