Boy Who Lost Legs Swims with Winter the Dolphin

September 26, 2014 by Kelly Stilwell Leave a Comment

Just another reason to love Clearwater Marine Aquarium. As you may know, I was invited to visit the aquarium, see an advance screening of Dolphin Tale 2 and meet some of the cast earlier this month. The passion of the staff at the aquarium is something I think you would expect to see. After all, most of them have studied for years to be doing what they do. But the stars were pretty passionate about this aquarium, too, as you can see in my interview.

At the end of Dolphin Tale 2, you'll see some of the people who have visited the Aquarium just to experience being near Winter, because they had more in common with this famous dolphin than most people. The children and adults who have lost limbs, had cancer or other life changing situations that identified with Winter's plight share their stories, and you'd better have tissues. You can see other stories on the Clearwater Marine Aquarium's website.

The video of this little boy, Cieran Kelso has gone viral, and I just had to share it with you. If you get the chance to visit Clearwater Marine Aquarium, please do. And tell them I sent you.

By the way, this giveaway has ended, but you can still get the free Dolphin Tale Curriculum from Homeschool Movies. The curriculum is not just for homeschoolers, but great learning resources for everyone.
